Who Am I?

Kathryn earned a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology with minor in Neuroscience research from the University of Connecticut in May 2009. While attending UConn, Kate worked for 1 year as a research assistant in the behavioral neuroscience lab under the direction of Dr. John Salamone. In 2012 she earned a M.S. in Neuroscience from the University of Hartford where her thesis focused on cognitive changes associated with the ketogenic diet. She also worked as a research assistant for 2 years under the direction of Dr. William Neace where she acted as a statistical consultant for a variety of research projects. In the summer of 2013, Kathryn volunteered at the Anxiety Disorder Center at the Institute of Living before joining the Clinical Neuroscience and Development Lab in Fall 2013. Kathryn plans to pursue a career in statistical analysis.

Roles & Responsibilities

Kathrynís primary role is as a research assistant on the Neural Mechanisms of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in Hoarding Disorder, a fMRI RO1 research study that is a collaboration with the Anxiety Disorders Center. Her main responsibilities include secondary MRI operation, participant recruitment, data collection and management, and fMRI data analyses. She also works as the Olin Centerís Database administrator for the COINS Mind Research Network site.
